My mommy survived cancer, and that's thanks to the research of the ACS. I want to make sure more mommies get to win their battles, too.

Who doesn't want to find a cure for cancer? All of us know someone who has been affected by this disease, and I know we all want to kick cancer's butt!

Cancer touches all of us in one way or another. Statistics show that from 2004 to 2006, the lifetime probability of developing some kind of cancer is 1 in 2 in men and 1 in 3 in women. These numbers are shocking and are increasing year after year.

About 6 years ago, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was quite an unexpected surprise to our family considering we had no family history of it and my mom had a very healthy lifestyle. We are thankful that after months of treatment and surgery, she has been cancer free.

ACS is very near and dear to my heart. After a few Relay for Life events in college, I have heard countless heroic stories of other survivors and their battles with cancer and was touched by them and the efforts of this organization. Even though there isn't a cure for cancer yet, thousands of doctors and researchers are working hard to find one. Let's contribute a token of our support by donating.

This charity is close to my heart- many of my most beloved family members have fought with cancer and have shown amazing strength and courage.
