CHRISTINE W.
September 5th
Hey ya'll!
Oh my God, I've been SO blessed this past year with so much and even more to look forward to!
As I am still reminiscing after another +1 year of my life, I can still say that God has been so great. Most of all I am blessed with all of you, my wonderful friends and family whom I would be nothing without. Join me in the celebration of my twenty-SIX years (aiyo, on the road to old age!) of life to spread some joy and blessing to others. It would mean so much to me, more than any thing I could ever receive.
Give the gift that keeps giving, love. Make a difference, we only live once.
PLEASE, NO GIFTS THIS YEAR.
"You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my own needs and to the men who were with me. In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, βIt is more blessed to give than to receive.ββ
- Acts 20:34-35 NASB
Thank you!
Much love,
Christine
Charities Christine is Supporting
World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.
There are millions of children and families out there in this world, that we don't always get to see more of outside of our normal lavished life, who have close to nothing. You may not be a millionaire but if you can afford to buy even a coffee in the morning or a sandwich for lunch everyday, you have more than these people ever will.
World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization focused on working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
You can't change the world overnight, but you can take that first step to do so. If we all join hands in helping our world, we can undoubtedly make an impact.
My personal favorite is the Gift Giving Catalog under "Ways to Give". How about a couple chickens for some hungry kids?
Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society (ACS) saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has 12 chartered Divisions, more than 900 local offices nationwide, and a presence in more than 5,100 communities.

Cancer touches all of us in one way or another. Statistics show that from 2004 to 2006, the lifetime probability of developing some kind of cancer is 1 in 2 in men and 1 in 3 in women. These numbers are shocking and are increasing year after year.
About 6 years ago, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was quite an unexpected surprise to our family considering we had no family history of it and my mom had a very healthy lifestyle. We are thankful that after months of treatment and surgery, she has been cancer free.
ACS is very near and dear to my heart. After a few Relay for Life events in college, I have heard countless heroic stories of other survivors and their battles with cancer and was touched by them and the efforts of this organization. Even though there isn't a cure for cancer yet, thousands of doctors and researchers are working hard to find one. Let's contribute a token of our support by donating.
Stop Child Trafficking Now, SCTNow, is committed to stopping child trafficking and child slavery by targeting the buyers and predators for prosecution and conviction.

Every child deserves to keep his or her innocence. This world is a dark one, and just the thought of young kids being forced into the sex slave trade brings tears to my eyes. What is happening is real even though we might not see. The worst thing is, it happens here in the US also.
SCTNow exists to stop child trafficking by targeting the source of child trafficking: predators who drive the sex industry everywhere in the world, including in your local community. SCTNow has partnered with specially trained operatives familiar with what it takes to infiltrate, investigate and bring to justice the predators victimizing children worldwide.
