Charities Sarah is Supporting
At Autism Speaks, our goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.
We are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.
Autism Speaks aims to bring the autism community together as one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to our concerns and take action to address this urgent global health crisis. It is our firm belief that, working together, we will find the missing pieces of the puzzle.
Autism Speaks. It's time to listen.
American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
The ASPCA was the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. Our mission, as stated by our founder, Henry Bergh, in 1866, is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.”
World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.
American Diabetes Association
Our mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
We lead the fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes and fight for those affected—by diabetes.
* We fund research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes.
* We deliver services to hundreds of communities.
* We provide objective and credible information.
* We give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
Help fund diabetes research. This is also the charity for which the Order of the Amaranth raises funds.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
To accomplish these goals, we invite people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.
Today, we have built over 350,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1.75 million people in 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter.
When I was in high school I participated in a week-long Habitat for Humanity mission trip each year with my church youth group. This is a great organization that provides homes for struggling families in order to help them get back on their feet.
American Cancer Society
Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society (ACS) saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has 12 chartered Divisions, more than 900 local offices nationwide, and a presence in more than 5,100 communities.
Who doesn't want to find a cure for cancer? All of us know someone who has been affected by this disease, and I know we all want to kick cancer's butt!

We produce healthy food for residents of the city and suburbs and provide youth leadership opportunities. Most importantly, we strive to inspire and support others to create change in their own communities.
